Magic Mondays: New Phyrexia

"It came not in the form of a noble struggle, a fair contest of warriors clashing will against will, but as a wave of unstoppable slaughter. Mirran partisans resisted bravely, using their wits and magic to fend off the onslaught that originated from inside their own world.
But their efforts were for naught. Phyrexia is victorious. Mirrodin now goes by a different name: New Phyrexia." [source]

Those of you who came to our pre-release events know, New Phyrexia has changed the game quite a bit.  Between having Phyrexian Mana and Golems, as well as a more frequent return of such things as Infect and Colored Artifacts, things might be getting changed in the meta-game just a bit.  From the reaction of the several players who have showed up to our drafts so far, it seems like a good thing.  For the few of you who haven't already studied the leaked cards when those hit, check out the full list here.  You'll notice a lot of nice shiny toys to throw into your decks.

As with all new booster boxes, if you buy a full box we have new and shiny promo cards to throw in, so don't miss your opportunity to get them while they last, as they won't be around forever.  Also, we have sealed decks and boosters that will be for sale on May 13th, which is right around the corner.  With release parties coming up, as well as our Tuesday night drafts and paupers, there are plenty of opportunities to get these cards early, so we hope to see you over here!

I leave you now with a few cards I personally liked, but then again I'm not a competitive Magic player, so you all will just have to decide for yourselves how good they are!

Mmmmmmm, planeswalkers
